Arcadia University’s Master of Forensic Science program has been ranked 11th in the nation in Intellegent.com’s latest rankings of the top 30 programs. Arcadia also was awarded Best Toxicology Focus by the website, which considered 171 universities and colleges for its rankings.
Arcadia’s Master of Forensic Science program specializes in toxicology, chemistry, and biology, says Dr. Karen S. Scott, Forensic Science program director and associate professor.
“We have strong instrumentation on campus,” Dr. Scott says. “Our program has been running since 2004, so we are very well established. We have over 265 alumni working across the U.S, many of them in forensic toxicology labs. We also have connections with NMS Labs, which is the largest private forensic toxicology provider in the U.S.”
Arcadia’s Master in Forensic Science degree program is one of only a few such programs that are accredited by the Forensic Science Education Programs Accreditation Commission (FEPAC). It features faculty certified by the renowned American Board of Criminalistics (ABC) and American Board of Forensic Toxicology (ABFT).
Programs were evaluated by Intelligent.com on the basis of flexibility, faculty, course strength, cost, and reputation: “Top picks are highly regarded, economical, and equipped with the tools needed to teach their given degree.” More information and the full list of honorees are available here.
