Akpor Otebele, an expert on Nollywood (cinema from Nigeria) and director of the Arusha African Film Festival, will lecture at Arcadia University on an overview of African cinema using specific examples of Nollywood features, practices, and culture.

A filmmaker, writer, educator, and theater director, Otebele cofounded Hakika Entertainment, a film, video, theater, and media arts production company based in Arusha, Tanzania. He has taught a course in African cinema through The College of Global Studies at Arcadia University.
