Dr. McNeil Appointed AVP for Access, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

As part of Arcadia’s commitment and vision, the University is pleased to announce that Dr. Angela McNeil has been appointed the new Assistant Vice President for Access, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion effective June 1, 2021.

About Our Office

The Office of Access, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (OAEDI) is the University's primary resource for providing opportunities for the training and development of faculty, staff and students to enhance awareness and appreciation for difference; and for assessing the campus climate. We provide direct support and advocacy for African American, Latino, Asian, and Native American (ALANA), and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer (LGBTQ+)  students, faculty, and staff.


Provide leadership in creating an equitable and inclusive learning and working community where  every student, faculty and staff can thrive while working to amplify and advance the efforts of CABR and JEDI.


  • Partner with divisions and departments to advance AEDI efforts
  • Establish AEDI Liaisons Program
  • Coordinate campus-wide AEDI efforts
  • Support staff advisory and resource groups
  • Provide cultural programming and leadership training
  • Institutionalize Support for Affinity Student Group Organizations
  • Highlight progress made in AEDI efforts across campus

Operational Goals

  • Build infrastructure to facilitate and maintain the sustainability of AEDI work
  • Build capacity for everyone to engage AEDI work through cultivating partnerships across campus
  • Utilize scholarship and evidence-based practices to provide leadership in advancing issues of Access, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
  • Review current assessments to make data-informed decisions in shaping policies and practices
  • Work with Senior Administrators to establish institutional accountability
  • Engage in efforts to ensure AEDI principles are embedded in the mission, vision, and policies of the University
