We are excitedly anticipating our most time-honored tradition, Commencement, with the Class of 2021 in-person and on campus.
Events will be live-streamed.
Arcadia’s Online, Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degree ceremonies will be held all-modes ready and delivered in a hybrid space to expand participation.
Each ceremony will include a series of speakers, acknowledgments, and reading of the names of all graduates.
Graduates in person will walk across the stage when they hear their name and receive an official Arcadia envelope. (Diplomas will be mailed separately.)
Each ceremony will be approximately 90 minutes.
Each graduate can register up to four (4) guests, who will be emailed an individual ticket. Each graduate and their guests will be given a five-seat section where they will sit. Graduates and their guests will occupy their respective section for the entirety of the ceremony.
Each graduate is allowed to bring one guest with them to pass in front of the stage to take photos while the graduate is on stage. Arcadia provides Island Photography for graduates and families to capture the moments. You are under no obligation to purchase any photos.
All ceremonies are spaced with timing to include a thorough cleaning and setup between events.
Logistical information will be communicated in the next week including ceremony links, entry points, traffic flow, and parking.
This ceremony will adhere to the Arcadia health and safety protocols in the COVID Health and Safety Plan and state and local regulations. All attendees must wear a mask and remain socially distanced.
All graduates are asked to complete their Graduation slide for the ceremony by May 3.
Get Your Cap-and-Gown-with-Castle Photo Ahead of Time
In the two weeks leading up to Commencement, graduates who are in driving distance of Arcadia are welcome to come to campus to take pictures in your Cap and Gown in front of the Castle. As COVID measures are still tight until May 31 in Pennsylvania, please let Commencement@arcadia.edu and COVIDCareTeam@arcadia.edu know when you plan to come to campus.
