Arcadia University’s annual Martin Luther King Day of Service event has some important changes. This years new ‘Give & Shred’ event will be held Monday, January 20th on our campus from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm.
There will be 5 shredding trucks on hand. Shredding will be offered by Wiggins Shredding and Proshred in exchange for donations of non-perishables for local food pantries, books to support Project Home Books, Career and Formal Wear to benefit Career Wardrobe and Covenant House, and cash donations for future AU community and civic engagement service programming.
Shredding offered, consider donating:
Non perishables to stock local food pantry
Books to support Project Home Books
Career and formal wear to benefit Career Wardrobe and Covenant House
Cash donations for future AU service programming
Take note of the changes to the structure of this year’s event; we will NOT be accepting any e-Waste or donations not listed above (no household items, toys, electronics, furniture, etc.). Items not listed above will not be accepted and will be required to remain in your vehicle. A link with alternative e-waste, recycling and donating options can be found here.
We greatly appreciate your contributions and participation in our MLK Day of Service as we work to benefit those in our community in the spirit of Dr. King.
