Historical and Political Studies
The faculty and staff of the Department of Historical and Political Studies at Arcadia University are committed to diversity and inclusion in our community and in our classrooms. We stand firmly against any discrimination based on race, ethnicity, immigration status, sex, gender, sexuality, class, or dis/ability, and will continue to proactively develop and sustain the social and academic environment that fosters a sense of belonging and appreciation for all. This commitment requires our attention to both individual actions and institutional policies and practices. We will be responsive to situations as they arise and be proactive about creating a department and classroom climate that ensures, as best as possible, that harmful or exclusionary situations do not arise. This statement of our commitment is a guiding principle of our practice as educators and a pillar of our departmental community.
