Spencer Finch: As Lightning on a Landscape

Arcadia Exhibitions is pleased to present "Spencer Finch: As Lightning on a Landscape" in the Spruance Gallery from May 29, through December 15, 2019. Planned to coincide with this New York-based artist's RiverLink ferry project for "Whitman at 200: Art and Democracy" , this compact survey will provide a context for Finch's ongoing exploration of perception and transient natural phenomena. Grounded in his application of instrumentation and seriality, the exhibition focuses on the tension between investigative documentation and subjective experience and will include photographs, works on paper, light sculpture, and a new artist’s book produced for the exhibition.
