Arcadia University joined more than 1,100 universities and colleges nationwide with a standardized-test optional admissions policy beginning with current high school students applying for the Fall 2021 semester. Read the full press release.
Students will indicate during the application process if they are choosing to apply test optional. Students choosing to apply test optional can submit any of the following in lieu of test scores:

First question - Why do you want to attend Arcadia? (250 words or less)
Second question - Choose one of the following (500 words or less):
What is your greatest accomplishment or biggest success while in high school?
Why do you think you will be successful at Arcadia University in your major?
Reflect on a social justice issue that is important to you.
Submit a video that is 60 seconds or less, and insert the link when applying. Show us something about you that we wouldn’t have learned about you from your application. Be as creative or as formal as you choose.
A collection of documents that could include: documentation of growth during high school, analytical writing sample(s), an overview of a senior capstone project, a reflection of volunteer experiences, explanation of grades over time (improvement, areas of success, highlight interest), etc. Please include an introduction that describes all of the elements of the portfolio. Submit as a PDF with your application. If you are applying to one of our Art and Design programs, you will need to submit an additional art specific portfolio. Please review the art portfolio guidelines for more information.
Participate in a 15 minute virtual zoom interview with a student interviewer. The interviewer will ask questions designed to learn more about you and your interest in Arcadia University. Interviews are reserved for students applying for Spring or Fall 2021.
