Arcadia University offers academic scholarships to select applicants in each of the full-time programs on the basis of academic record. Simply apply for admission to receive consideration. Scholarship decisions are made by the chairperson of the respective department and notification of any scholarship award is included with the acceptance letter.
In addition to the scholarships listed above, additional aid can sometimes be found through various community organizations, religious groups, foundations, and companies. Information on these additional sources can often be found in your local library and on the web. Check out some of the websites below and do your own free scholarship search.
In the event that you are awarded an outside scholarship, you are required to send a copy of your award notification to the Arcadia University Financial Aid Office. If by adding this award to your financial aid package creates an over-award situation (i.e., where you are receiving more aid than your annual established cost of attendance (including tuition, fees, room and board, books, personal expenses, and transportation), then we will reduce loans before any institutional aid will be reduced. Keep in mind that Arcadia merit scholarships can only be used toward tuition costs so external scholarships that are only applicable toward tuition can impact institutional merit scholarships if the two awards combined exceed the cost of tuition.
