New Student Summer Orientation
At Summer Orientation all first-year students and some transfer students will complete academic placement exams in writing and mathematics. You will also identify potential courses for the fall semester and interact with current students and your classmates!
Summer Orientation is mandatory for all new, full-time fall 2019 students. In order to register, new students must have paid their deposit to the University.
Summer 2019 Registration
Review the dates below to select an orientation day that fits your schedule and student type (first-year or transfer). Check-in begins at 8 a.m. in the University Commons, first floor. The day ends at approximately 5 p.m.
First Year Students Orientation dates:

Transfer Student Orientation dates:
- Friday, August 9
IMPORTANT: You must have already submitted your deposit in order to register for Summer Orientation.
NOTE: There is a one-day program for students participating in the Fall First-Year Study Abroad Experience (FYSAE) program and their guests. All Fall FYSAE students and families are strongly encouraged to attend, if possible. When identified, first-year students enrolled in the Honors and Gateway programs are strongly encouraged to register for the dates specified. First-year students who are Fall FYSAE and Honors should attend the Fall FYSAE day.

We encourage families, friends, and parents to attend Summer Orientation. Planned programs are designed to answer questions about campus life, academic resources, residence/commuter life, financial aid and many other topics.
Free lunch will be provided to all new students. Guests can purchase meal tickets at the Dining Hall for TBD per person. For questions related to orientation and resources available at Arcadia University, please review our Frequently Asked Questions guide.
