Next Steps for New Students

After you deposit, we'll help you acclimate to Arcadia’s campus, community, and academic environment. Information for Knights starting in Fall 2021 will be updated soon. In the meantime, here's a preview of your next steps:

We'll send login instructions to the email address you listed on your application. MyArcadia gives you access to your student email, where you'll receive updates about new student activities.

1. Activate MyArcadia.

File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and list Arcadia, school code 003235, by May 1. Next, complete Arcadia’s Undergraduate Financial Aid Application.

2. Apply for financial aid.

With a variety of housing styles and supportive, accessible staff, Arcadia University strives to become your home away from home. Housing applications are typically posted in late spring.

3. Register for housing.

To ensure you're set up for success, you'll complete placement exams during the summer so that we can place you into the proper courses.

4. Take placement exams.

5. Prepare course selections for Summer Orientation.

When available, you'll review first-year seminar and introductory major course options for Fall 2021. You may also review the Arcadia Undergraduate Curriculum.

6. Participate in Summer Orientation.

We'll provide an engaging, accessible orientation experience for new students, families, and friends. Activities include academic advising and course selection.

In compliance with University Policy, every full-time student is required to be insured and to submit personal health information before starting in the fall.

7. Submit health information.

You'll log in to MyArcadia to complete your Emergency Contact/Health Insurance Verification Form and Emergency Notification System Form, when available.

8. Fill out additional forms.

In the fall, you'll participate in a campus-wide discussion prompted by Arcadia's Common Read, a book selected to generate critical conversations about social justice in the United States. The Common Read selection is typically announced during the summer.

9. Finish your summer reading.

Arcadia University has partnered with Everfi to provide two mandatory online courses: AlcoholEdu and Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates (SAPU). During the summer, you'll receive an email with login details for these interactive modules.

10. Complete your student safety courses.

11. Participate in Fall Orientation.

Fall Orientation is designed for you to meet classmates, adjust to campus life, and explore Glenside and Philadelphia.
