File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and list Arcadia, school code 003235, by May 1. Next, complete Arcadia’s Undergraduate Financial Aid Application. If you do not plan to apply for financial aid, email finaid@arcadia.edu.

Questions? Contact your financial aid counselor.

2. Apply for financial aid.

Your housing assignment will be based on many factors, including the date you deposited, the date you completed your housing application, and your questionnaire answers. You will receive your housing assignment via Arcadia email in July or August. New Students will be able to begin their housing application after April 1.

3. Register for housing.

Complete the Spanish, French, German, or Italian Language Placement Exam online before Summer Orientation. Select the “Courses” tab on Canvas, click “All Courses,” and select “Language Placement Exams.” Other languages can be discussed during Summer Orientation, where you will also take math and writing placement exams. It's a good idea to practice beforehand.

4. Take placement exams.

5. Prepare Course Selections for Summer Orientation

Prior to attending Summer Orientation, first-year students must review the First-Year Seminar and First-Year Course options. Students must be prepared to select and rank their top five First-Year Seminars and top five course options, knowing that they will enroll in one seminar and two courses in the fall. Some majors— such as Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Math, Business, etcetera— are very prescribed with respect to courses in the first year, which means that fall courses have already been determined based on major requirements. New transfer students will meet with an academic adviser to select courses.

6. Attend Summer Orientation.

During Arcadia's required Summer Orientation, you’ll select courses, complete placement exams, and participate in activities that introduce you to the University community.

Visit your primary health care practitioner to complete the Health Record Form, and sign up for or waive Arcadia’s Student Health Insurance coverage (available Monday, July 8). Every full-time student must have health insurance. Upload completed forms to Student Health Services’ Patient Portal.

7. Submit health information.

The required summer reading selection will be available for purchase in the Templeton Campus Store and discussed during Fall Orientation. New transfer students are also encouraged to read the book, as those attending the five-day Fall Orientation will have the opportunity to attend a small, transfer-only discussion.

9. Finish your summer reading.

Everfi, the provider of our required courses, has sent an email to your Arcadia inbox with a link to log in and complete part 1 due Monday, August 26. Reminders are sent each week until you have completed part 1 for both programs. Another email will be sent 45 days AFTER you complete part 1 with a link to take part 2. The course is complete only after finishing part 1 and part 2 of both Alc.Edu and SAPU. If you are having technically issues please reach out to Everfi, or send a message to Mary Alice DiFilippo.

10. Complete AlcoholEdu and Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates.

11. Fall Orientation, August 23-27

Fall Orientation kicks off on Friday, Aug. 23 with a University welcome for students, family, and friends. Members of the Arcadia community will help you move in, meet classmates, adjust to campus life, and explore the city. You'll also participate in Day of Service, an opportunity to learn about and give back to the community. Transfer students can attend the five-day Fall Orientation or a condensed program on Tuesday, Aug. 27.
