Honors Program

Own Your Strengths

Arcadia’s Honors Program is a place where students with many talents and passions are encouraged to feed their strengths, refine them, and then own them in a way that positions them to go forth and make positive impacts on innovative, strategic, empathetic teams and also recognize the pathway to their own happiness.

Pioneer Series

“Creating the Life You Want to Live”

Biology and Chemistry alumnus Joe Spearot ’14 and Forensic Science alumna Julie Demarest ’05M joined the annual Pioneer Series event. Watch the Arcadia 40 Under 40 award recipients share how their Arcadia experiences helped them advance in their career positions.

Spearot, a 2020 Arcadia magazine 40 under 40 award recipient, is an entrepreneur and quality manager at the brand new First State Brew House in Delaware. He is one of only 140 people in the world qualified as an Advanced Cicerone®. Spearot began his journey into the chemistry of brewing with his thesis project at Arcadia. He hopes to add master cicerone, the fourth and highest level of brewing certification, to his resume.

Demarest, a 2018 Arcadia magazine 40 under 40 award recipient, was a member of the first graduating class in the Master of Science in Forensic Science program. She is a technical leader at the Armed Forces DNA Identification Laboratory, where she works to bring closure to families of lost soldiers in 20th century wars and conflicts  through mitochondrial DNA connections.
